"The young pianist is already a master of colour and mood, In June 2007 Benjamin Moser became a laureate of the prestigious Tchaikowsky Competition in Moscow. He was also awarded the Audience Prize of $10.000, and the prize for the best interpretation of the music of Tchaikovsky. In January of 2007 Benjamin Moser won first prize along with eight special prizes in the "Young Concert Artists International Auditions" in New York. As a result, he will play recitals in Paris Gulbenkian Center, Washington Kennedy Center and the New York Carnegie Zankel Recital Hall, and was awarded three years of management in North America. Benjamin Moser has been invited to perform the Tschaikowsky Concerto in the Dubrovnik Festival. He will play Chopin´s 2nd Concerto in the Residence of Munich and the 2nd Brahms Concerto in the Herkules Saal of Munich with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. The London Phillarmonic Orchestra has invited Benjamin Moser for the Paganini-Variations of Rachmaninoff in 2008, and in 2009 he will return to Moscow for orchestral concerts with Marc Gorestein conducting. The young pianist was born in Munich in 1981 into a familiy of musicians. Benjamin Moser studies with Prof. Klaus Hellwig at the Berlin University of the Arts where he is currently in the Masters Programm. During his student years, Benjamin Moser was awarded several prizes in various competitions, among them, the first prize in the Arthur-Schnabel -Piano Competition Berlin, and has recived scholarships from the Deutsche Studienstiftung and the German Music Council, wich resulted in national appearances in the prestigious series for distinguished young German performers. In recital, Benjamin Moser has had tremendous critical and public success. He has played in many European cities, among them Munich, Berlin, Geneva and London. In Frankfurt the FAZ (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) wrote: "Rich pianistic potential was fully realized by the young pianist and his sound had finesse and was beautifully shaded". |
